begging all out pleading.

begging all out pleading.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Just sit

Hold me

don’t ask me to stay

Ask me anything else

Sit and want to be with me

Want me as much as I want to be with you

These seconds

They take the breath from me.

Like swift thieves,

Leaving my world, and mind

Spinning out of control.

I hope

Wishing harder than for anything else

begging

all out pleading

That you enjoy these seconds

The way I enjoy each shattered moment

I get to spend with you.

For me, please stop

quit second guessing

With clear minds you would see us,

The picture we create together.

And the gods and demons and and angels and ghosts

Will sing our praises,

Laugh

Scream and cry.

For right now, we are perfect.
