sure of step

sure of step

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Our universe is round

with smooth surfaces

if you aren't careful

and sure of step

you could fall into nothing at all

and be lost

Fear not because I have strong hands

strong enough to hold you anyway

as you tiptoe skip your way through this,

our sweet sweet path of least resistance.
