Kid.

Kid.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

The red of my eyes scream of chaos

The truth is far more exciting.

The sound of my voice, raspy and hoarse

tells the tale of childhood whimsy.

Finally, they met the light of day.

A room filled with magic

a head brimming with fantasy

my heart never beat more proudly.

than it did for you last night.

Short but powerful, a little fun even! I'm sure I'm interpreting this wrong, but I feel like this someone waking up after a fun night of partying. Love and other drugs as they say :)
