Explode and burn out.

Explode and burn out.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Hold on to love because you won’t find it here

Hang on to what you got because here there is nothing

I told myself that in the last waking hours of my night

The truth is better served late at night with nobody around

And I have never been more alone than I am right now.

I hold you no more accountable than I do the night sky

For having stars that explode and burn out

No blame can be forged when there is no problem

But what happens when I see you again?
