Sarah in song lyrics

Sarah in song lyrics

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt
"

Something I wrote a while back using nothing but song lyrics written by other people. I like it, and am in no way claiming it to be completely original although the sentiment is mine! Read and enjoy

"
I am living on a prayer and I want to thank you for letting me be myself again. You oughta know that I'm here to remind you that when they're held for pleasure, they are the balls that I like best. When I see you smile I can face the world and I know it's only in my mind. But in the rain the pavement shines like silver and I haven't dreamed since I met you. Although I don't know much about clothes my hair still looks fierce and remember that I am just a girl in the world cuz that's all that you'll let me be. And in conclusion I ask that you dream a little dream of me, because I can't help falling in love as I lay next to you, in silent lucidity.
