I find myself here.

I find myself here.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt
"

I really wish things were different, I miss you Mr.

"

Today I woke from a dream,

only to find myself

trecking  through the memories

that I hold on to

for reasons unknown to me.

It never ceases to amaze me

how when I think

I have moved on from

you holding my  hand,

leading me out of my comfort zone, that

I find myself here

on this dreary weekday afternoon

thinking about you.

I am still hurting,

after all these months

even though I know

you didn't want me to.

Your intentions may have been noble

but that doesn't help me today,

when I find myself here

on this idle Wednesday afternoon

thinking about you.

I covet the freeing moment

that escaped me when you left.

I want  that peace.

But more than that,

I don't want to dream of you

only to find myself here

on a dreary weekday afternoon

thinking of you.
