Silly Girl

Silly Girl

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt
"

Do you still feel this way?

"

Silly girl
Does it take a signed contract
To prove to you
That I am still that man
Because if it does
I will buy the best stationary
And I will make sure I have pens in every color
So that you know I am serious
And that I am not going to fall back on my word
Few times in history
Had there been a person like you
And if I have to shout it at you
Believe me baby, I will lose my voice
Don’t you get it sugar?
There is nothing more important than this
And I will make myself as big a fool as it takes
To remind you that I am the man for you.

Very sweet and to the point. I love the use of "silly girl" to show that the narrator is probably a lot older and very fond of the person he is talking to.
