I love you

I love you

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

I love the way your eyes squint

when you look right through me

I love how you bite your lip

when you re-read what you write

I love how you grab my hand

out of no where when we're in line at the movies

I love the way you make me laugh

when no one else is there.

These are the times I thank god

for giving me the fortitude to understand

These are the things I would put on my list

if I could relive single moments for eternity

These are my favorite things in the whole world

that I know I could not live with out

I love the way you call me out

when you know I am being ridiculous

I love the smile on your face

when you make me laugh without trying

I love the lingering kisses in the morning

that you give me when you want me to stay a little longer

I love that you always win me over

after one of our childish fights

These are the times I thank god

for helping me be patient

these are the things I put on my list

when asked what I would save in a fire

These are my favorite things in the world

that I could not live without.
