black and white.

black and white.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Love was always too bright.

Colors were too much,

We were misunderstood.

I am worn out thinking about it

But I love how we look in black and white.

We become  innocent.

we seem so simple

stripped of colors and lights

A man's eyes too big for his past

A woman who saw all along

Facts that seem unnecessary

I love how we look in black and white.

Two people frozen in one moment

No complications

No turning back.

I love how we look in black and white.

We are simple

The truth is pure

In that moment our lives changed

We never seemed so honest.

It was so plain to the world.

There was no mistaking.

I love  how we look in black and white.

Wow. This was a very good poem. I love how your allusions worked well with one another. The imagery was vivid, which made it seep through this reader's mind. A very wonderful write. Keep it up.
