Emotional symmetry in the fabric of now.

Emotional symmetry in the fabric of now.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Some people walk the grounds
noticing the trees for their leaves.
They hear the songs of the birds,
feel the breeze,
all while holding the secret of the universe
while the lesser of us sleep in on the weekends.

You are one of those people.
You dream of prosperity,
hanging on to the thoughts of emotional symmetry,
as I struggle to keep sanity
in my marathon racing imagination.

Portrayed to contradict each other,
we thrive together in this woven fabric of fate.
Our colorful reactions to conscious living
(as different as they are elated)
live a dance of opposites
that we perfected long ago
in a land far away.
