Hindsight my goal, foresight I pray for.

Hindsight my goal, foresight I pray for.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

I would like to tell you the truth

about sin and love

Hell and angels

But I can't because I am unsure

of the way those things relate to you.

Are you in my dreams?

Do you ride the thunder and cry like demons

or do you sing like a raven

all for the love of me?

I am not so sure, but I could guess.

I can not wrap my head around

the filler and the magic

but if I take the moment to think

I might just understand this moment

But as for now, I am blinded.

Hindsight my goal

Foresight I pray for

Someday I hope

that my story of you will be told

Someday, not today.
