He told me I suppose.

He told me I suppose.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

He told me that I was the most interesting person he has ever met

I suppose in some circles that is as good as being beautiful,

He told me that I was an addictive sort of lover

I suppose that was his way of telling me I was sexy and dangerous

He told me that I was the kind of girl you don't take home to mama

I suppose to some girls that is the next best thing to burning love

He told me that I was unlike anyone else he had ever known

I suppose that means I am special.

He told me

I suppose

It was love
