For years I have stayed.

For years I have stayed.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

For years I have stayed
like the deep rooted trees
weathering all the wind and rain
but today, I feel you have finally gone
and I am still shivering for you
my feet planted eternal
and all I want is to fly free
without you.

Sarah, your poems seem to carry a certain feeling of sadness and loneliness. I can only hope this is imagination speaking and not real life. Very nice again.
