Perchance, What if?

Perchance, What if?

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

Perchance, what if
the doll-eyed giggle
and the thunder boom breath
were loud enough at last
to open up the fates for us
to write our names on the moment
to grace the ground with our feet
leaving traces of our steps
that we can finally take together?

Nice piece. Very surrealistic and you've managed to present the topic well. One minor quibble, if it were me, I'd hyphenate 'doll-eyed'. As it stands it looks a little limp. Otherwise, very well done.
