Loud with music and bright with neon color

Loud with music and bright with neon color

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

The streaks of lights,

the clinking glasses,

dancing taps of heels on laminate floor

all celebrate the moment

when my crazy met your sane

to cause the perfect balance

of daredevil  stunts and cushioned falls

that I have dreamed of my entire life.

I melt in your arms

eyes blur as you kiss me under the ceiling of stars

on this the first night of the rest of our lives.

We will be champion warriors

Loud with music and bright with neon color

rich with intention and poor of doubt

Taking what we want

from this world-

our playground-

Forever

I like how you used more complex ways of saying things in this, it forced me to read more slowly and really think about what I was reading.
The imagery really drew me in as well, I could see (and hear) the beginning, and whenever I can do that it always enhances what I'm reading. Very nice.
