past yet remembered.

past yet remembered.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

The night sounds brought magic to the air

You could feel it in the mist and the candle lights

Every moment’s power whispered to the next breath

Passing along the message that in a moment

There will be something beautiful happening.

And it did.

It was us.

On cue the music of our souls began

And I danced to you

And you sang to me

We were in love and bright and explosive and strong

Covered in our intentions and our glory

Discovering each other for the billionth time

In lifetimes past yet remembered

The same way we do even now

As we say good night to the world.

Beautiful! Every word.

it's amazing that people haven't run out of ways yet to describe being in love. I guess that's a testament either to the elusiveness of the emotion or to the versatility of language. either way, this was another beautiful way of expressing that emotion. I love the phrase "covered in our intentions and our glory".
