you are like the rain.

you are like the rain.

A Poem by Sarah McKeever Hitt

The clouds have burst

Pouring the intentions of god upon the people

As they turn their faces to heaven

Waiting to be fed and refreshed by hope

And the sight was beautiful

With sparkling crystal shining

And triumph behind every tear

The faithful knew that when the sky broke

The water of love will clean their skin

And fill their lungs and stomachs with truth

The way mine filled when I met you.
