The Memory...A Poem by PsycheWas free thinking writing while I was talking to this guy I am totally in love with and just about at my wits end because I can't get him to date only me exclusively. Of course I am dating others as well so as not to be the idiot in the relationship. but
lightly the breeze dances on my lips, like a passionate lover's kiss. Almost from afar as I could dare to miss, And in the distance, I can hear in the echoes of the waves crashing on the shores, softly does my name get called. And I remember. as if I could forget. In the darkness I can see, a shapely form that beckons me, and for a second I can tell, it's someone familiar to me, a person once SO familiar to me, like a close friend ingrained in my mind. I taste the favorite wine we used to drink, and flooding to me comes memories, of another life we used to lead, and sadness overwhelms me, because you left so unceremoniiously, the day...you walked off that beach. and became a lover, of that sea. © 2009 PsycheAuthor's Note
