Kudos champion :) Nice colloquial, casual style of narration.

Thank you so much, Anand. I am honoured. Wishing you wonderful New Year:)
true ..after reading it I too like to think it in a different way and also have a imagination about it and that is gravity is a magic and good teacher which makes us learn that we have to be grounded but not fly high for too long..but here you have penned a very unique and beautiful piece..a very refreshing and probably first time ever at wc..lovely
If you've not earned your wings to fly you certainly won't get far with a swollen head like a balloon no matter how high and mighty you pretend to be! Personally, I like being well grounded. There's something to be said about keeping both feet on the ground. I liked this poem Pryde. Always a bit of a lesson in your writings that I've read. I apologize for not reading more often but I am usually on phone or tablet (and I have a lousy data plan).

I am always happy when I do. You put a lot of effort into your work and it shows.
That is something uniquely said about gravity. It is your style which gives it a touch of uniqueness. You have this wonderful magic in your writing which can spellbound anyone. Excellent one. Keep writing.
damn that gravity Pryde... I want to fly and have my guts all over the place... okay so I am egotistical... er.. an have a big head.. er... it must be a male attribute eh!! ;0) for most of humanities being we have been bound by gravity (and still are in many ways), but in the last two hundred years at least, we have begun to fly and soar, from balloons to space craft flying just near the edge of our solar system as we have always dreamed of flying... yep very egotistical indeed...
I think it was Oscar Wilde who once wrote, "we all live in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars"... so yes Pryde, keep us grounded, all muddy and dirty, but let me take your hand in the "here and now" and show you the stars... they are indeed wonderful and keep our imaginations going... ;0)

Had I only known of the scoundrels I would come across on my way through life I would have given pause and changed direction. The ego is a lock with a key we either keep in a safe place or lose purposefully for our own benefit. I choose to keep mine in the same place and ready to use if need be. God knows I could have used it in the past.
You are a wise woman Pryde.
