Author's Note

Pryde Foltz
Lest we not forget …
Rather let us remember
The key to ending war
To ending the killing
The suffering
Lies within us ALL
Time after time
Yesterday's enemy
Has become today's ally
What changed ...
Our minds

The sad fact is that the wormongers care not for the butterflies or any other living creature. Look at Syria and Iraq, the wars in Afghanistan and the gulf, the Falklands, ther first and second world wars. We just became smarter at war. Nice sentiment though Pryde.

An interesting thought, and well executed. Just curious, was this the "idea" you said our discussion of "In Flanders Fields" gave you?

Thank you, Noel. No I was thinking of reciting Flanders Fields but in the end I decided against it.

You're most welcome.
Beautiful. I was minded of Lech Walesa as I read this and the depiction of a ship worker's hard hat draped over the gun barrel of a tank during the birthing of solidarity movement, (something I studied during a part of a political and social history course.)

It take one butterfly to have the courage so that others may follow. T.
