that's a beautiful poem Pryde, it creates something mystical about time, it is our invention for time does not really exist, its our measure of our lives, we need to control our growth, so its true no two hands can contain eternity, thank you :)

I love the end, so true. Also, I have listened to most of the Wisp audio -- wonderful story and your narration is lovely. I am reminded of working in amateur theatre as a pre teen and setting up stories for middle school kids -- this might be your calling, to read in public. You certainly have the face and the voice for it.

Seriously if I were you I would look into starting out with schools -- giving them your audio as a sample and making a pitch. You could do it by donation or hook it to a charity to start out -- you live in the perfect place for that.

It's an idea ... I worry though if the Wisp being that it is paranormal would not be as well-received by school librarians but you never know until you try right.

I think there is enough liberalism out there, with Harry Potter and what not. Now, if you were in a backwoods small town, maybe not, but I definitely think you have the stuff. I think of me at 12 or 13 and I would have been totally inspired by you.:)

maybe not reach eternity, but if we, all 7 billion of us, link hands we can get closer... closer to the moon maybe.. lol sorry Pryde, sometimes my mind goes way off into neverland when I read poetry, and this is what happened reading yours.. no one or nothing can actually capture "time" and often not even reflect it accurately. now off to listen to you read...

Another eloquent way of saying 'time waits for no-one'. I also wondered if the reference to arms suggested that love was not eternal?

Thank John. I did not see this as a commentary on love, romantic or otherwise, though certainly romantic love will not outlast time. I see this as a philosophical write, commenting more on man's desire to measure and quantify ... dare I say ... possess the physical world ... one might include romantic love in that equation, but in the end we but grasp the hem of eternity before it eludes us yet again.
