Thank you, Madalyn.
Sometimes, we have to look at the distance created as part of our personal growth. It is a risk we sometimes have to accept.

This work makes the transition from mere words into images so easily done. Excellent word choice and flow. I enjoyed it very much.

Thank you, Dr. D.
So much truth here and each time I read this, I get something new and different to think about. It has a gentle sadness, with a resigned acceptance and a letting go. The ending is a beginning. Beautifully done :) Penny

Love adds joy to the soul, even if only a brief time. This is a lovely, well crafted poem, Pryde.

Thank you, Rita.
a beautiful piece of work. i love the comparison to shadows to the joyously remembering beautiful memories we had in our lives and how we all rejoice in the memories and how they are a like a past shadow behind us now because they are in the past and we are in the present like our shadows are behind us like the past is behind the present.

Thank you, Gregory, for your lovely review.
We can always fondly remember the beautiful moments even if they are not going to come back but can sure bring at least shadow of a smile if not smile itself.
