Strays is a collection of two extended narratives and more than forty love-themed poems, exploring the meaning of romantic love while we have it and attempting to find the healing after its loss. Found within these pages is the short story Gutter Dog, the novelette Ginni, and the poems False Skin, the Boy Who Wore Clothes, and the Black-Wit Reveller.
Nice reading of this soul-stirring poem. I especially liked the first two lines. Yes, it only takes a fraction of time with the right person to experience deep truths. Maybe that's why we know when we've met our soulmate. I don't know. I've never met one.

Thank you, LG … he is certainly a soulmate but alas not of the romantic kind:)
The shadow leads into the light that both scatters the darkness and is itself scattered in the darkness. This is a great piece, Pryde. A favorite of mine.

Thank you, Kenneth:)
So intense and felt Sis...
"Shadow is not only the footprint
But the pathway of stars"
Those lines catched me the most, it is so true,
Without the hurt, and the pain, never will be true healing
True light, and I thank you for writing such a deep poem
So effortlessly, and highly empathic with your warm heart.
