the January crow is thinking: stay asleep mr grizzly, stay asleep.. while that cardinal wants to plant a red lipstick kiss on yon sleeping bear. Pryde I'm not sure this means the forest is quiet.. nope noisy as hell... enjoyed these haiku very much, very wintery. ~~redzone

A possible interpretation. Mostly, I think the bear is just wanting everyone to settle down so her can sleep. Thanks, Redzone.

hmmm, perhaps but it's a losing effort since very soon cubs, birds, all forest life are back to their everlasting noisiness.. many different languages are spoken in the forest.. all year round.. hush little cubbies, mom needs her rest..
