Desperation, terror, hope, and regret and a lover's longing for reunification all linked together. I really liked the "lion is me, the roar is all yours" as it leaves the matter up for interpretation - is the lion's roar at the service of the other or has the lion already surrendered her roar?

That explains it too... You are welcome...:)
Things I did in this poem: looked up, looked back and stepped on my carpet. (Funny because I'm in my bedroom reading this but in a more deeper sense here's the review :) )

Looking up to the sky I thought of a not so distant memory with how things were back then when I thought of someone I enjoy my time with. It was a feeling like no other, because in this poem it reminded me that even when looking up it meant that you had to cry. What better way to look at teardrops as an oil painting used to create the certain hues of blood and fire. After all, there would be attempts to making the color real wouldn't they?

Looking back I thought of the waves that cannot tell as it was mentioned with the blinded fright. Therein lied a reminder that the time spent when it comes to moving forward it can never be revoked for the waves in the ocean move in a direction they know is its course...forward.

Feeling the carpet of course reminded me of the ground in which I walk. More than that, the lion and the roaring reminded me of nature's power. A lion is but the creature of ferocity and pride just like nature therefore making it the fury. Just as its fury, it needs a sound and what more to it than the roaring voice it makes. Something so earthly yet so powerful this is the sight yet impurity of what could be in the world we live in.

Thank you very much and have a beautiful day :)

Well thank you Ms Pryde :) It was a beautiful piece for sure! :)
A tale of the earth rediscovering itself as the world. A style and rhythm that is implosive, seeking the balm of arrival. Nice write.

Sad ... your telling me. lol. Thank you, Ron.
Mmmmm, great images, but it seems lile a metaphor for a stormy relationship. Love your work, it flows beautifully, captivating read, left wondering as usual.

Thank you. But oddly it feels like mine.
This poem has a lovely, ethereal connection with nature and you've created a clever parallel between love and the motions of the earth :)

Insightful, Sarah. Thank you for reading.
At first glance this is simply an ethereal description of the elements, however it follows a theme of love lost and yearning for its return. Nice piece though.
