Desperation, terror, hope, and regret and a lover's longing for reunification all linked together. I really liked the "lion is me, the roar is all yours" as it leaves the matter up for interpretation - is the lion's roar at the service of the other or has the lion already surrendered her roar?

I listened to the audio you provided on youtube. I can't say that I fully understand the poem, but I did enjoy the passion in your voice as you read it.

Thanks so much for both the read and the listen. I appreciate the support.
I like this one a rollercoaster ride. One minute a gentle whisper the next a booming roar.

Just like life, lol. Thanks for your time and words.
I have to admit this is confusing for me, Pryde. I think you are projecting your view of the painting and how you relate to it, but I can`t decide if the lion is in the painting or you, the lion, is begging a response. In any case, the images are bright. P.

Thank you, thank you.
This is an impressive write. I am still digesting it. I think I sense urgency in the words, and there is some anger too. Do I feel the ties between wondrous earth, its creatures and humans being eaten away on the human end? By carbolic acid, no doubt. A plea, perhaps, to be more somber and respectful of endangered beauties and Earth itself. And be culpable. Harness your unused power to reality and let the lion roar.

i wish we could rediscover the land...wish we could roar again...but seems like all we do now is slight meow...and nature just keeps getting eaten up like a bird by the cat.

Yes, being inspired by the totems these days.
the lion is me
the roar all yours

I like your imagery here; the piece flows like the elements themselves.
