Desperation, terror, hope, and regret and a lover's longing for reunification all linked together. I really liked the "lion is me, the roar is all yours" as it leaves the matter up for interpretation - is the lion's roar at the service of the other or has the lion already surrendered her roar?

With a soft voice and a tenderness of each syllable we have here one wallop of verse. Nicely done!

Thank you, Alfred.
This was beautiful, The lioness has the power, the leadership, to will to achieve and accomplish all goals, to fly the heights and jump out of any caged manifestation only to believe that all great living beings no matter how high they soar, should indeed be grounded and walk amongst the canvas it took pride in being a part of. Beautiful poem, I maybe way of course with what I took away from it. Also you have a very clear and beautiful voice, you are a gifted individual and I appreciate you sharing your gifts with us. Thank you.

Thank you, Keegan. I am very pleased with your interpretation.
Poetic justice I must say it's has all of the elements are in this poem. Love, Heroism, Villain, distress, and etc all wrap in one person and that's the Lion. The Lion must choose to either face what's coming or bow down to it's own fear.... Amazing...........

It is very beautiful poem which descrribes the desperation of indentity of something which in dire need perhaps belonging or layers of Nostalgia....I dont know what I am doing here , maybe this poem is too high for me to give out meaning.Anyways you are a darling bud of my rose and you wont mind my stupid review....God bless you and love you forever.

Thank you, Mark.
"land/ the soft earth is ours..." your ending sent a chill through me Pryde. I felt depth of emotion here beyond the simple words. perhaps it's because I know this roar, have voiced it til my voice broke. maybe it's as my friends have said, red your just a romantic. don't know, but your poem reminded me of why I no longer roar in this way. it's a really good poem Pryde. --redzone
