Staying trueA Poem by Prudence DesideriaStaying true to ourselves is never easy. Just a drabble on the subject, really...
We all flutter Wavering in the winds Of change And temptation We falter Crosses to bear Eased up burdens From a heart that’s never strayed Far from those little things That make us unique Faith In whatever we choose to believe Morals, A compass of constant question We all flutter Wavering in the winds Like fall leefs Color schemes tricking our minds We ponder Is this right, These answers we live by? Yes or no Never seemed easy We falter Darling, we do Heavy lifting Complications, hard choirs Staying true to the heart Even though it’s often torn in two © 2009 Prudence DesideriaFeatured Review
