Mondays

Mondays

A Poem by Prudence Desideria
"

Slight insanity warning I suppose, about working life, panic, dialogues in our heads, and Mondays.

"

Trenches are un-expected

Some of us are

Perhaps

Chronically drawn to them

For that I apologize

Not sure to whom though

Whichever the turning point

I think I missed it

Oh well

We are all vulnerable

Happy to hide it though

Behind titles and careers

Expensive lingerine

Stiff exteriors

Oh well

Such a sloppy world we live in

All the things we could do

Apart from the fear of course

“I think that’s… no”

 “Panic?”

“But how so my dear…”

“I just can’t breath no more”

Maybe you need to take it easy

Relax sweetheart

Lean back

Enjoy the ride

Here’s a little something to think about

It’s a cruel world

Live with it

“What can I do?”

“Fight damn it.”

“I’m not like that…”

“Oh for… Of course you are. You’d be dead otherwise.”

“Huh…”

Spiffy suits

Make-up is on

Heels clattering rythmically

Headache’s forming

Morning sunshine

What a great day to go to work

Wear the happy face now sweetheart

Monday’s here again

Seems like the good times fly by fast and work arrives to soon so we must cherish those wonderful moments while their happening not after they pass... excellant work.
