On this October DayA Poem by EnchantmentI noticed that sunlight illuminates autums leaves, as if they have absorbed the light's energy setting them aglow.
I sit in my garden.
A cool breeze blows gently, On this October day. Rhythmic, fluttering movements, Shapes of liquid gold, red, amber, and orange, Some spinning, twirling multidirectional, Downward falling, Creating a carpet effect on the still green grass. Tree trunks so much darker Against their intense vibrant colored leaves. The backlight of sun rays illuminates Giving these shapes an almost translucency. Reminding me of stained glass Against a beautiful blue sky. An inner energy infused into these leaves Setting them aglow. Nature at her healing best. Tranquility is my state of mind, On this October day. As I sit in my garden gazing, At this amazing illuminative sight to behold. One that will be with me forevermore.
