He melted like a paddle pop

In the face of her bloated sun

Till all there was left of him was

A pee-stained puddle that run

Down down her wee knickers

When the clock struck one

Very creative, Ditzy! I find shape poems a novelty except when the words within the shape can stand by themselves, and yours do here. It's a great big ball of fun, your poem, and you did a great job with your lines and form. It hits the funny bone just as you have intended. Well done!

the shape disintegrates...until there is nothing left but a pee stain...poor cat...
reminds me of someone who becomes an idol...like a rock idol, movie idol...the spotlight so intense,
the fame so extensive, and then finally the star burns itself out...
and the idol eventually disappears. Well done.

in grade school I failed scissors as well as coloring I could never stay within the lines when coloring or cutting and now that i'm an adult (ish) I can't write within the lines or color my write within the lines nor can i cut my lines to form shapes In fact I don't think i needed the following 10 years of education I don't think i ever progressed:/ I love it when you do whimsy you are so good at it
