You shouldn’t have done it. I was quite fond of you and unsuspecting. What you slayed today was a piece of my heart, created for someone special. Remember, it killed nothing except our friendship. You lost a good thing today.

Are you channeling Vincent Van Gogh? Both the amazing painting and the melancholy words makes me think of him. As I recall, his being rejected by a would-be lover affected him quite badly.

I called out on them from a happy place within me and not an angry one. I guess that makes all the difference. What saddened me was not losing a writing but the loss of a friend.
