Criminal Neglect

Neglect is cruel

Neglected beyond hope

Medically unfit for life

Broken by a misanthrope

The physical distress was

Long lasting and labored

Missed by an utter myope

Till death in its septic mask

Swayed under Halothane

Terminal as the hangman’s rope

The breath cut loose to flee 

The pulse skipped, losing beats   

All lost in a fatal syncope

Neglect of any kind whether it be of a child, the elderly, or infirm, the disadvantaged, a defenseless animal, a piece of architecture, a garden, town or city, or part thereof is offensive and in my book crime.. and something that causes my blood pressure to rise..... point taken and well said...
