In the Ashes of Something

Hypothetical. Written to unnerve another cat. Revive the pain.

 in the ashes of something

i still linger, i rescind

beyond burning, beyond pain

pulverized, crushed

scattered in your thoughts

smeared upon the forehead

of our sad, still born love

 waiting for a puff of crematory wind

to wipe my greyish hue

from the brilliance of your horizon

from the vacuousness of

what was, yet never could be

to a place of forged silences

devoid of all worldly passion

that will leave us forever 

burning and yearning

for an impossible, untenable

 kind of resurrection

 in the ashes of your regrets

i still linger, i rescind

the love is dead, but she is haunting him...she is a phoenix who rose from their ashes to not only move on very well from the hurt, she left an imprint upon him...like the ashes of Ash Wednesday, figuratively upon the forehead of his memory...
his loss....her resurrection.

Whoa! Thank you for such a hearty and heartfelt comment, dear Sarah! I love it (happy purrs) Sorry, I wasn’t around for the last couple of days. I forayed deep into an Indian jungle on a wild Safari, looking to challenge some jungle cats but as it turned out, they were chicken before me. 😹 So I ‘m back from a tiring safari without a tiger sighting. Lots of pics on Facebook though.! Much love to you!

That sounds like so much fun :D I hope you had a great time! The closest I've been to a safari is when my brother and I went into the woods for adventure. We didn't find tigers haha, but we did spot a turkey haha.

Thank you Sarah. We spotted lots of deers and antelopes plus wild rabbits and a couple of elephants. As for the tigers, I’m kind of grateful we didn’t come across one haha 😹

Why? Tigers are so magestic :D their one of my favorite animal! (the white tiger is awesome)
elephants are cute aren't they? I've always wanted to see one up close and personal.

As for the tigers, they are majestic indeed. Too majestic for this less than ordinary cat. Even the jungle air in their absence carries their aura. This gives me a complex. 😿
