A Man Without A Phone - Kitty's Dilemma

A Man Without A Phone - Kitty's Dilemma

A Poem by Dhara_Ditzy Kat
"

Hypothetical. Disclaimer concealed in a big ball of wool.

"
She was a pretty l’il Kitty
With a light gold fur coat
A poet in a land of fantasy
Of love and joy, she wrote

She fell for a dreamy guy
Who seemed to love all her lines
He praised her poetry to the sky
It made kitty feel so fine

In the enchanted kingdom of words
He was her Wizard of Oz
Kitty smiled, scribbled and purred
To his magic, there was no pause

Days flew past in no time
On mails, hangouts and Skype
He was a Master of Rhyme
Kitty’s heart a passion fruit ripe

Yet something felt amiss
In kitty’s little love story
There was a chink in the bliss
Something felt discriminatory

Tired of chats on hangout’s
Kitty did complain and groan
She said I’m typing my eyes out
Won’t you get a phone, your own?

I’d love to hear your voice
Instead of texting day and night
My eyes pain, we have little choice
But it ended in a stalemate and fight

It was a small thing to address
By him in a jiffy, so to speak
Yet Kitty came under duress
Higher than scaling the Everest peak

He argued, fought and taunted
But refused to comply
He ghosted and then haunted
Till Kitty felt she could die

Then he sent her a disturbing mail
That sent Kitty wailing up a wall
His was a pitiful, sorry tale
An illness prevented phone calls!

Now Kitty is truly caught
In a ball of wool so messy
A cat on a hot tin roof, taut
Clutching a truth so dressy

Oh café poets, my friends!
Help Kitty figure this one out
Should she trust him, make amends
Or let the jury be kept firmly out?

Is this a true tragedy or a trap
In this high tech day and age?
Is he a human or is he an app?
Please answer Kitty on this page

A man without a phone
Is truly a girlfriend’s nightmare
Kitty’s leaving him alone
To pull out and chew his hair

Text is written can be saved to read again and again
but what sort of person is he how does he sound
Loud or soft gruff or squeaky

A phone would take care of that
His voice she would know
She could record their talks
And listen to him in her bed
His loving kisses would not be sound less XXX's
But lip smacking PPP's
She would love to hear his kisses when she dream of him in her bed

Suits me! (does a cartwheel)
Love at arms length or cross the sea
we savor the essence tween you and me
precious moments like origami fold
longing for our hands to grow old
entwined as one without a light
till time itself steals our plight

Thank you very much!
It's the way it is with online relationships... we can easily get close and yet we have our lives in the real world to live and back off when it seems to be getting too serious.

But I know myself how it hurts, and how the investment f time and energy can go up in a puff of smoke. But, hey, that's life. Here today and gone tomorrow. Enjoy while you can and move on when you can't.

I liked your ballad. Well, there you are... the experience inspired your pen.

This is a nice place to be in with the right kind of friends and I'm sure glad we met :)
Nicely done.... dear Dhara....it's always best to give our heart to someone who is ready to invest the same amount of trust and faith as we do..
Otherwise we do end up hurting and bleeding in a very bad way... so guess it's better to keep your danger radar active and in this age when everyone uses mobiles..... if they are just playing they will never give you their number...as its an integral part of them...
It's easy to chat...flirt..but commitment requires much more than that...even be it in distance or if they are near by...

I hope you find strength to make correct decisions in life...it's not always possible...we learn from our mistakes...but its better to learn from others ;)
God bless you and keep you safe..

Oh, dear, this is, I think, trouble...
The problem could very well double!
I'd smoke me some herb,
Kick that guy to the curb
Then, like Phoenix, arise from the rubble!
Rely not on your heart! Use your brain!
Although you will suffer some pain,
The light that you see
In this tunnel may be
The light of an oncoming train!

Don't look back, honey. Run! This guy is definitely hiding something.

Just try to change. Life fall, like it support to do. You are welcome Dhara.
Having been in a long distance relationship myself I can honestly say this is a bit fishy. Phone calls and video chats help make sure that the other person is real. It's sad but people do get catfished, hearing the voice of a loved one will put away any doubts you may have. It also bothered me that an argument came up when you mentioned it. From my perspective it seems odd. But alas in the end it's your decision. I don't want to push you towards a decision but merely present my experiences so you may look at it from another perspective. I hope it goes well for you, keep us informed of how everything goes.

Much Love

Don't trust him. Who doesn't have a phone at a grown up age? You would need one for almost everyday uses. Unless he doesn't have the money... Idk.
This was a cute little rhyme with a much more sinister meaning. I loved how you made yourself a little cat- that made me smile. This was sugar and spice mixed with sadness and a heartbreaking tale
