Dream of Us

Dream of Us

A Poem by S.L.H
"

A quick little something to keep the mind busy.

"
To reach them with my hands,
but naught I feel them fall
Yet stricken still, under fevered ill
The want, wants one and all.

I see them vivid, pure and true
Honest in their need of me
So why can they, fade away
From sight, till I cannot see?

Within, rest a million lives
My own held balance bent
To take them, I wish nothing more
But have them, one need repent.

Lust, Anger, pain and sorrow
All I have and fear.
Yet before me still, bound by will
Hangs the untouchable idea.

What Rose said, plus excellent flow & rhyme. Love the double rhyming on some lines, great work.

Such a passionate piece, I can feel the emotion through your words. I especially love the picture you chose for this, it really adds to the dream-like quality of the poem. Great work! :)
