Slowly it kills youA Poem by S.L.HA long forgotten time of pain.
Slowly it ebbs the strength from you so what had once been your rising
light now saps the very essence of power it had delivered. With such a
weighted investment, paid in soul and hope, so clearly it becomes that
absolute truth within each and every ache and yearning feeling you ever
possessed is all but air. Something precious but vacant, ever present
but out of sight and reach, touch or taste, it is a mocking necessity.
Only you yourself are to blame when only you are speaking, questioning,
wishing. The replies laden with ever present doubt and inside, deep
seeded, burrows the confusion of something you wish to unfurl. Know but
can never ask to. To ask would be to falter but the price would be your
own life if lived unanswered and unheard. No hope should be left to the
mercy of a heartless practicality. No chance should be smothered under
fear. No self should be doubted by itself for being itself.
When did it become so hard for you to have what you want? When did the conviction of your actions lose faith? Why had the soaring motion of your star finally dwindled? Damn them, thoughts like poison, too thick to swim through or rise above, their uncanny molasses spawning directionless floundering. I hate it. I love it. It gives and it takes and no one can doubt the honesty of the unbiased system. The mother atom which acts in accordance to lawless love. Her ways are brutal and caring. I owe her pain and I owe her tenderness. I receive and deny the hatred. Hope will find me......but let it be soon though. Let it be soon. © 2013 S.L.HReviews
