Drowned in SilenceA Chapter by Noir CrescentTime comes slow but leaves so fast.
We were awake one day,
We were awake one day. I blindly traversed through the darkness, my bare feet torn into a mess, But I felt nothing. No sting, No discomfort, Just walking without any effort. The darkness was burned and light has came for me to be discerned from the many that unknowingly stood beside me. That day, I paid a fee unbeknownst to me for hearing their pleasant sounds that bounds me to unearthly grounds. We were awake one day, We were awake one day. With my clear eyes, I saw the splendors of nature’s laws that reign above all. But like what happens when staring at a star too close, my vision blurred from all the woes. Forced to cut my breath, I sentenced my thoughts to death. I may never know the sights of others or a life that my curse doesn’t bothers. I’ll probably leave with great regret that I’m doomed to forget and repeat a life unsatisfied by obedient choices I can’t override. We were awake one day, We were awake one day. But our minds were dead with our hearts resting in bed. © 2020 Noir CrescentFeatured Review
