Out of the Kindness

Out of the Kindness

A Poem by Noir Crescent

I thank you for your many compliments,
Your greeting,
Your advance gifts and presents,
As well as our meeting.

But, more importantly your smile
That got me suspicious,
Even if you were far by a mile,
I was conscious.

Your kindness had blinded me
As if you were hiding another truth
That is bothering me like a flee,
So I'll find it out like a sleuth.

Could it be an evil intent?
A simple kindness?
Or a way to repent
For once, your sinfulness?

Either one, you may be,
I'll enjoy your existence
Throughout time as you can see,
Me in this instance.
