House HuntingA Poem by ProfkimOnce I dreamt that you were a rat and I was a woman.
You were small, brown, and beady-eyed with not much to say. I was just me, loud and domineering.
We set out to find a house for you and me and our rat child.
The perfect house had to be large enough for me to stretch and breathe, but with tiny crevices for you to crawl into.
We settled on a lovely tri-level (one for each of us) on the good side of Rat Town of course and even though I was only human you said I fit right in. © 2011 Profkim |
