Her Real Face

Her Real Face

A Poem by ProfessorPadilla
"

This was something I wrote last year. I hope you enjoy!

"
Although the light shines upon her face, my heart says otherwise.
Her beauty and charm makes me blind to her real face.
I do not know if I want to break from this blindness, although it may be fake, it's better than being alone.
I do not know if the feelings I have for her, should be hers, for her heart belong to another.
All my attempts to win her over have failed.
And as I look back, I see how she could never be mine. Her eyes  do not look at me with love or lust, but with joy and reassurance.
I can see her real face, but I continue to choose not too, in hopes of tomorrow.

I like the humility in this poem. I think everybody can relate to rejection. Well done.
