Rain-Kissed Memories

Rain-Kissed Memories

A Poem by Prodeep
"

As the monsoon rain dances against the window, I’m reminded of those cherished moments shared in its embrace. 🌧️ Here’s a poem I wrote, reflecting on the beauty of rain, love, and the gentle longing

"
The monsoon rain begins its soft ballet
against the window, each drop
a delicate note in a longing symphony,
playing the melody of thoughts of you.
I recall last year,
when we huddled together,
sipping tea as rain wove intricate lace
on the windowpane. Our laughter
danced with the storm’s rhythm,
our warmth vivid against the tempest.

Rain’s fingers sketch patterns on the earth,
a caress echoing how you soothe me"
steady, unwavering, like your presence
on that stormy night when the world
raged beyond the walls, and you held me close,
your embrace a sanctuary amidst chaos.
Now, the rain’s cheerful murmur
twirls and leaps like our dance,
its rhythm reflecting your laughter,
a backdrop to our moments.
The scent of rain-soaked earth rises,
a heady perfume evoking memories"
our first rainy walk, each step
a brushstroke on our journey.

As rain adorns the leaves,
its droplets fall like scattered jewels.
My thoughts drift to you,
each drop a fragment of our story,
each memory a testament to my affection.
The garden, with flowers in glistening robes,
mirrors your grace, how you bring tranquility
and beauty to my world.

Though you’re just a room away,
I yearn for the depth
of your presence, the simple joy
of being near you. Even a small distance
can stir profound longing. I long to step
into the next room, to open the door and find you there,
to feel your embrace and share in the rain’s enchantment,
its magic weaving between us. The comfort of knowing you’re close
eases the ache of missing you,
reminding me that even in proximity,
our hearts can feel the storm’s rage
when distance lingers, however slight.
