Sometimes we need to give ourselves some importance in order to move forward.

No, it isn't all about you

This time, it won't be

Its right to leave you behind

Now, Im focusing on me

I am moving slowly

One step and a breath

The healing has begun

I will be reborn, this isn't my death

I am moving faster now

My strength just seems to grow

That glimmer of light 

Now is a ray of hope

I can almost touch it

Happiness is just a step away

It can only get better now

With each passing day

This says what everyone feels when they've given too much and not gotten enough back, or gotten nothing back, from a partner. They stop thinking of nothing but their partner and start to think of themselves, and realize that it isn't a bad thing. It isn't selfish. Eventually, if you keep draining the pond, it will be empty and there will be nothing left to give. Nicely done.
