The Melody

She only hummed the melody

That drummed around her heart

She only freed the tune

But never let the song start

She tried, and tried

It never got out

Until he came about

He was older, without knowledge

She was homeschooled, he in college

But he knew plenty about love

"Its when our hearts stop thinking"

With these words

He led her to sing

Sing so loud

That her heart did pound

And it wouldn't stop

Until she dropped

And he caught her, 

Caught her from falling

But it was too late

And he still keeps calling

Humming the melody

That now drums around his heart
