Paths

Paths

A Poem by Priyashrav
"

It's a poem which reflects how different the viewpoints of two persons can be,even if they are looking at the same things.

"
We return from the the same jaunt,
Yet he leaves behind a deathly silence,
A stillness which only precedes the storm,
As I part with content and peace,
And a world laced with lull.

As we journeyed back to the destiny,
I found birds chirping in bliss,
Singing their heart out,
And he saw a wasteful attempt,
By a few lesser beings towards ascendant.

Along the way I came across,
A magnific beast assuaging his hunger,
True contentment dripping from his eyes,
As he watched a feral brute,
Preying on others for his own cravings.

Further ahead I witnessed a river,
Flowing freely across the path,
It oozed of purity and virtue,
But he was the one who saw
The flood which was to maraud all life.

We traverse through the same path,
Yet we never meet on the way,
He ends up somewhere far away,
From where the fate led me to,
Yet we dwell in the same realms.
