A Lonely Street

A Lonely Street

A Poem by Priyanshi
"

It's just an imagination.

"

A lass rambling alone in  a street,

Hedged by murky street lights.

Her gloomy eyes gazed at

Those murky street lights

All of a sudden, a little girl rushed

And hold her from the back.

The lassie looked  back,

but Alas! None was there.

She remembers her little sister,

Who is no more with  her.

She recalls her deep sick  memories

Memories as  deep as  a well.

 She gained pain again

with tears bursting her eyes

and she walked ahead in lonely street.

Ah, quite sad. We always do grieve the loss of our loved ones...they're hard to forget. Was a bit scary to read. Good job.

My pleasure!
I have often said that the loved ones & pets who've died are following me along & I can feel them like they're on my shoulder watching me. In your poem, you take this idea further as if the departed one is a haunting ghost following & tormenting. Good way to tell a story within a pretty short poem, as it feels complete & takes the reader on a journey.
