Poverty

Poverty

A Poem by Priyanshi
"

Its about a child whose age is about 7 years and realizes the effects of poverty when a rich kid ate ice-cream and he keeps on watching .

"
Sits on that path.
Near the road rills and
hold a steel bowl
with his little hands.
Looking at the passers- by,
moves his little playing hands
to show his begging life.
His glowing eyes,
his curly hairs being pampered by him.
Overall the pretty face,
that caught the sight of everyone.
The one who passes,

Throws a coins in that bowl.

Brings his shining eyes

With  his smile.

But oh! when the other opens the mouth

To eat the ice- cream

That being ate by him.

The child’s mouth salives

Oh! His smile goes away

Taken away by his fortune.

Awesome Writing dear Poetess. It's the time to bring revolution around the world to vanish this obnoxious issue. I like your way of depicting the condition. It seems lively here.
These lines are just amazing:
“The one who passes,
Throws a coins in that bowl.
Brings his shining eyes
With his smile.”

Keep it up dear. We want such more from you. 😊😊

Okay, thank you so much for kind visit and review.
Liked this line: "Smile goes away... taken away by his fortune". I totally agree with you here. Fortune's karma... and karma is what we get in "present" for what we done in "past", however.. sometimes, it really sucks... especially when nothing you can change, but can only walk the way God has made you so...

it's not just 'bout poverty but something that eats us all deep inside. A very beautiful poetry you've come up with. Well written with emotions!

Its a very nice poem, Priyanshi.
You expressed the effects of poverty through a a common yet mostly unnoticed incident...
Great work, Dear......:)
