Old Life

Old Life

A Poem by Pranks

A little drop of rain fell on my face,
I cringed away, fearing
That it could spoil
The silk dress I was wearing.
Everyone around, felt the same
It seemed to me
Huddled against each other
Their apprehension set free
A little boy ran past me,
With hands in the air
Screaming with pure joy
He alone happy, without fear.
