Fading Phases

Fading Phases

A Poem by Priyanka Natesh
"

Somewhere between being a half baked adolescent and a fresh adult, we miss naivety

"

Where has the silence gone

That wafted and filled the empty heart with sheen

Where have the thoughts fled

That oozed and simmered the energy so

Where the emotion

Of inexplicable ecstasy

Where the essence of purity

When all that remains is tainted actions

Whence did love change me so

Whence did age deter me so

I long for the soul to quiver again

With emotion sublime

Dear Priyanka, this is so beautifully moving. It holds the bittersweet aching of life flowing past us... around us... yet somehow leaving us empty within. May this pure joy find itself growing within you like a wild garden... May you find the balance of living and loving... and yes, a soul quivering with an ocean of euphoric peace. It can be... and will be for you... I promise.
