Renouncing MemoriesA Poem by Priyanka NateshAt last. A new, (official) beginning :)
It's the best time of the year,
festivity in the air the smell of birches, of enthusiasm, of hurry to embrace a new beginning, To Start on a clean slate "like molting out of old skin like rising out of the Cleansing River like escaping a shark's bite like clutching a gold medal like earning a vial of elixir like shedding a burdened heart" Stepping into a new year laughing at the past that is renounced, good or bad, tucked in memory's mesh Alive and Confident Ready ready to flit like a butterfly, to touch every height, (middle and low) to breathe new life: unto me, unto others.
